The ThunderCats you never got.
LJN advertised toys before they existed. Catalogues went to dealers with photographs of prototypes, and by the time the tooling was finished the weapons had changed colour, the accessories had changed shape, and some of the toys had quietly disappeared altogether. 0 of them are documented here, 0 of which were never made at all.
Every entry is built from the LJN dealer catalogues, mini fold-out catalogues and card backs held in the silverhawks.tv archive. Assortment numbers and case packs are transcribed from those scans. With the single exception of assortment 3526, they are not published anywhere else, so we present them as our reading of our own documents rather than as settled collector fact.
How to read this section
A prototype here means one of three things, and the difference matters. A never produced entry is a toy that exists only as catalogue artwork. A pre-production sample is a real object somebody owns. A prototype configuration is a figure you can still buy today, photographed before it looked the way it finally looked.
0 of the 0 entries carry original catalogue or packaging scans. Where a source disagrees with itself, or with the wider collector record, the entry says so rather than picking the tidier answer.
